H.E. Ambassador Ms Mireille Pettiti presents credentials to President of the Russian Federation

On Thursday 28 May 2015, H.E. Ms Mireille Pettiti, appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the President of the Russian Federation by Sovereign Ordinance No. 5.303 of 5 May 2015, presented her credentials to Mr Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation.

The ceremony took place at the Grand Kremlin Palace, in the presence of senior civilian and military officials, notably including Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Sergey Lavrov.

In his speech, President Putin expressed his satisfaction with the excellent relationship which exists between Russia and Monaco and highlighted the important step in their development marked by H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince’s first official visit to the country in October 2013.

Mr Putin also observed that the many events planned as part of the “Year of Russia in Monaco” celebrations would contribute to the development of bilateral relations.

At the end of the ceremony, H.E. Ms Pettiti had the opportunity to meet with the President and share with him the desire of Monaco’s Government to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
