Russia and Monaco
The Principality of Monaco and the Russian Federation established their new diplomatic relations on 11 July 2006 by the exchange of notes verbales between the Embassy of Monaco and the Embassy of Russia in France.
H.E. Mr. Alexandre Alexeevitch AVDEEV presented his letters of credence to the Sovereign Prince on 16 April 2007, thus becoming the first Ambassador of Russia to the Principality.
H.E. Mr. Alexander ORLOV, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in France, replaced H.E. Mr. AVDEEV and presented his letters of credence to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince on 24 March 2009.
H.E. Mr. Alexey MESHKOV, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in France, replaced H.E. Mr. ORLOV and presented his letters of credence to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince on 13 March 2018.
H.E. Ms Mireille PETTITI was appointed on 22 May 2015 as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Monaco to Russia in place of H.E. Mr. Claude Giordan. She presented her letters of credence to President Vladimir Putin on 28 May 2015. This is a "non-resident" Ambassadorial post.
